Beginning February 1, 2007, all CM/ECF users that pay fees through the Pay.gov system will be required to complete the security code field to complete their transaction(s). This security enhancement was included in the Pay.gov process in response to an erroneous credit card charge that appeared on an individual’s statement. After investigation, it was determined that a CM/ECF user transposed his or her credit card numbers, matched the expiration date of the actual credit card number submitted, and the charge to another person was approved for payment. The "mandatory completion" requirement for the security code field is meant to protect credit card holders from erroneous charges. Please contact this office if you have any questions pertaining to this Pay.gov change.
Please see theLetter from the Clerk for complete details on the procedural requirements for motions for comfort orders.
