Local Rules

These rules are adopted pursuant to Rule 9029 of the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure to govern the local practice and procedures before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa. These rules may be amended or supplemented by additional orders as the court deems necessary.

Public Comment Period for 2022 Local Rules Revisions

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa ("Court") is in the process of revising its Local Rules to become effective December 1, 2022.  As part of this process, the Court is placing the proposed revised Local Rules out for a 30-day comment period. Below is a clean copy of the proposed revised Local Rules and a redline copy of the proposed changes.  Please send any comments to courtmail@ianb.uscourts.gov.  Comments must be received on or before September 6, 2022 to be considered.
