Request for Transcripts

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa will not make a recommendation of any transcription company or transcribers to be used.

Click here for a List of Certified Transcribers.

Note: Prior to selecting a transcriber and filing your Request for Transcript, search the case docket for any prior requests of the same transcript.  If the same request has already been assigned to a transcriber, it is more cost effective to you to select the same transcriber.

To request a transcript of a court recorded hearing, order directly through the certified transcriber of your choice. The transcriptionist should email a request for the electronic court recording to the Courtroom Deputy at crsched@ianb.uscourts.gov. The request should include the Case Name, Case Number, Court Date, Court Location, and Issue presented at the hearing. The Courtroom Deputy will provide the transcriptionist the electronic court recording of the proceedings in FTR format. All certified transcript fees should be paid directly to the transcriber or transcription company. The current transcript rates can be found  here.

The transcript will appear on the court docket once it is filed by the Transcriber.

If a party needs the transcript for an appeal, it should be ordered within fourteen (14) days of filing the Notice of Appeal.

If a party needs the transcript for a 341 Meeting, it should be ordered from the Case Trustee.
